Hotel la Nouvelle République
From the trendy 11th arrondissement location to the green wall at the entrance, La Nouvelle République is a hotel with its finger on the pulse of Paris. Fortunately, however, prices have remained proportionate. There’s a lot to like here: the mid-century winged armchairs in the lounge; the thoughtful buffet breakfast; and the restaurant that keeps reinventing itself, with a different resident chef every three months. The neighborhood is sparsely populated by tourists (with the exception of the Père-Lachaise cemetery, a 15-minute walk away), but teems with interesting stores, art and bars.
Those looking for a pretty place to stay in central Paris will find it at the Hotel La Nouvelle République, an affordable boutique hotel in the 11th arrondissement, just a stone’s throw from the Place de la République. Deep earth tones, warm lighting and oversized indoor plants create a sense of tranquility on the first floor that extends to the rest of the hotel.
Rooms are simple but comfortable and attractive with vintage furniture. Modern essentials like Wi-Fi and smart TVs are excellent, but our favorite perk is probably the free vegetarian breakfast served to guests every morning.
